Yes, I enjoyed it very much. I like the idea on how it wasn’t a typical dance techno music video because you added humour to it instead of it being enticing all the time. I really liked the buck tooth girl it was really interesting, and I never got bored throughout. I think the first girl wasn’t shown as much because it was quite dark so I didn’t understand what it was meant to be.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
It was original and funny.
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yes, I think the way you came up with such a different story line made it different and unexpected which made it really funny for me. Also it was very creative and imaginative and I don’t think I would have thought of a story line like yours.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think It worked- yes or no and why?)
Yes I did because the colour change and the ripple effect made it clear that he was entering a dream trance. Also with the opening titles made it more clear too and interesting to see what is going to happen.
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
I would give it an 8 because I enjoyed it and it didn’t get boring throughout the video which made it more interesting and kept me watching.
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yes, I like the pace of the video because it flows with the song and I like how creative it is giving a new meaning to the song and not typical about having enticing girls throughout the whole video.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
No because I normally watch it on YouTube for free and would rather watch it on that rather than spending money on it when actually I can watch and download it for free.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
Yes I think it does fit and I like the way you used the same theme in all of it like the vibrant colours and characters in the music video which linked to the advert and digipaks as well.
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Yeah, I think it showed all the correct information about the video and where we can download it from, so yeah that’s really good!
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work to sell the music video)?
Yes they do, I think the background and the colours used complements the music video by keeping using same colours like in the music video making it feel like a club.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
Umm, I’m not sure to be honest, maybe just have the main actor speak more clearly.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
No, not really.

1). Did you enjoy the music video- what was your most and least favourite part?
This isn’t really the type of music I listen to, but I’ve got to say wow! This was really interesting and I really enjoying it. Having different characters each time made it really funny and I didn’t get bored!
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Hilarious and unexpected is all I can say!
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yeah it really did! It was really creative and wouldn’t have expected to interpret the song like you did.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think It worked- yes or no and why?)
Yes I did, especially with the colour change showed that his dream was all colourful and happy and the way it goes back to being black and white shows that his real life is let’s say really crap!
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
I would give it a 8, I would say your camera angles were really good, and seemed really professional and I liked how you kept cutting in a fast pace which goes along with the music, so well done for that!
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yeah, in a way it does because it shows that he really likes the girls and the lyrics are saying “ahh damn girl” emphasising his dreams about girls. So they both in a weird way link together.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
Not really, like I said before it’s not really the type of music I listen too, but it’s still really good.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
The colours and the pictures are both able to relate to each other from the digipak and music video. 6a) Do you think the poster promoted the video positively? Hmmm, I think it’s really good but I don’t think it has persuaded me enough, maybe you could have used a different picture which is more out there like the background? But I think it is still really good!
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work to sell the music video)?
Yeah, like it keeps the theme running throughout like the text and background, and the way it made jokes inside the leaflet, it still kept the humour going which was just too hilarious!
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
Tough question to be honest, but I don’t think anything really...
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
No.
Name: Aaron Age: 18
Yes I did, the idea of it getting worse was so funny! Especially the transvestite who made me laugh like anything! I like how you used close up shots for the transvestite but maybe you could have added like a long show of the transvestite and close up shots of the girl in the beginning like you did with the transvestite and buck tooth lady.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Was exciting and would like to watch it again.
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yes I did.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think It worked- yes or no and why?)
Yes I did from the ripple effect used, but I think maybe the introduction to when he was speaking could have been clearer.
3) Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
6, I think maybe the introduction when the main character is talking could have been a bit more well played, like for me it just showed he was acting and I would have liked to see him actually more into wanting to play the decks and, but other than that the camera angles and the shots of lights and everything were really good!
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yes, the dance movements with crowd dancing and the actors were in sync with the song.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
No, I don’t really think I would because I would normally just watch music videos on YouTube and download them for free, so yeah, not really the person who actually goes out and buys the album or pays to download it.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
The colours and the character on the digipak which is also in the music videos, it’s like a little sneak peak to the cast in the music video which is kind of exciting, fits in very well!
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Yes, I really liked the use of bright colours, having the main character in focus and giving the right information to the audience on where to purchase it. So I think it was very effective.
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work to sell the music video)?
Yes, like I just said the colours and cast used in your print work give an insight to the music video and links very well with each other keeping to the genre.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
I’m not sure really, sorry.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
Nope.
Name: Bob Age: 22
Yes I did, I thought it was really funny! The dancing could have been more natural.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
It was funny and different.
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yeah, it did, it was really creative, doubt anyone else would have thought of that when listening to the song.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think It worked- yes or no and why?)
Yes I understood it, mainly by when it went into colour and throughout it kept going to him when he was mopping.
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
8, I think you used really good camera angles, you used fast pace cuts which were in sync with the song building up the nightclub atmosphere. I think I want to party there! Haha!
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
I think because you took such a different approach to the song, for some it might be confusing, but I really enjoyed the way you interpreted it differently which was so funny! So yes it does.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
Unusually I think I would, the video and song interest me a lot and its very entertaining, so yeah I think I would.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
I think they fit very well together, I like how your used bright colours in the digipak because that relates to the nightclub lights in the music video making it seem more like a club.
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Yes, overall I think the poster had the information needed like the links to where we can purchase it and the release date and the colours made it more appealing.
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work to sell the music video)?
Yes I think they do because the bright colours are used in both the print work and the music video, and it creates the theme of a nightclub.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
The actors should be more fluent and stiff, I think by making them feel more confident would make it seem a lot more real, but otherwise it’s still really good, oh and yes, the main character should speak a lot more clearly because I didn’t understand what he tried to say at first.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
No not really, other than it is really good, I think all your hard work has paid off.
Name: Priyanka Age: 19
YES!! That was hilarious! Especially the part with the transvestite popping into the camera made it really funny because of his characterisation. I also liked how it got more and more worse.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
I thought it was very creative and funny!
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yes it did, it was a funnier and unexpected side towards the song.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think It worked- yes or no and why?)
Yes I did from the ripple effect changing the black and white scene to colours. That was really good!
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
I would give it a 9, I really enjoyed it! The camera angles, the different types of shots and the story line all made it something different and unique and it isn't similar to other music videos which mainly focus on just certain types of girls.
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
In a slightly unusual way it does by dancing with girls and moving it to the drum, however the song seems quite sexual and the video is humorous so in some cases some people might not understand it properly and would expect it to be more of a sexual video.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
Nope, I don’t really buy or download music videos if it being sold; I normally just do YouTube converter haha! So yeah, that way I’m watching it over and over again for free.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
I think it does with the bright lights conveying the lights in the nightclub keeping the theme throughout.
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Yeah, I think maybe change the background to a more dark colour like black and add in lights instead of the one you have which makes the poster seem really busy in my opinion and takes the focus away from the title and artist name, but it’s still really good and provides enough information.
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work to sell the music video)?
Yep, it does, like I said before the use of bright lights used conveys the mood of the nightclub and characters on the digipack gives us audience a little insight on what to expect.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
Nothing really, I think you did a good job!
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
I would say add the price of the product on the print work. Overall, great work! It has shown that you put a lot of hard work into it, so well done!

I don't get the story, I don't get why all those characters were in his dream.

1) Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
Yes after I realised and figured out the theme/concept, I enjoyed it. My favourite part was when the geek appeared because this is when I figured out the concept and idea behind the video.
1a) Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
The beginning was weak, the middle was great then the ending was weak because when he was laughing, I was wondering was he not supposed to be freaked out. It made me question if that is the theme. That part in my opinion kind of messes it up because it didn't go with the music.
2) Did you think the story worked well?
Yes
2a) Did you understand the dream concept? (do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
Yes, it was a little straightforward with the transitions between the pretty girl, the geek then the tranny character.
3) Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
7.5 - It was interesting.
4) Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yeah kinda, but I would have personally gone for an Ibiza club anthem to suit the video.
5) Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
No not really, it not the type of music I'm really into.
6) How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
I really like it and I think it fits really well with the video, especially how colourful it is.
6a) Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
The poster was really well done, although it was pretty simple, it was also very informative.
7) Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
I think they work really well, all of the print work promotes the video well, with the relevant characters and similar colours - they carry a theme making it look professional.
8) What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
Maybe the beginning part with the boy could have been done differently, I didn't think it was really that effective. Also when he was on the decks, there was too many effects going on, I felt if the pace was slower it would be easier to watch and take it in.
9) Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
No, it really shows good effort.

1) Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
It was okay. I liked the club scenes and the geeky girl but I don't think the acting was realistic to be honest. 1a) Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
I found it funny.
2) Did you think the story worked well?
I didn't quite understand what was really going on, I was wondering why were there the geeky girl and the funny looking man-girl (not even a she-male), which wasn't very clear.
2a) Did you understand the dream concept? (do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
I could tell it was the boy's dream; he was daydreaming but again, not too clear I think.
3) Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
I would rate it a 7 as I didn't quite understand the video and the song isn't something I choose to listen to.
4) Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
I think it does, the disco music with the disco lights. I love the colours in the video... the disco balls and the poledancers!
5) Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
It isn't really my type of music so maybe not.
6) How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
Yes, it is quite colourful but perhaps there is too much colour in my opinion.
6a) Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
I think so.
7) Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
Yes they do.
8) What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
I don't really know, but I would consider a clearer storyline maybe. I don't really understand why the 'dreamer' is thinking of weird things while he is meant to be fantasizing about being a popular DJ and all.
9) Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
A little less colour in the print work perhaps.

1) Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
It was kinda funny, I did like it overall, but I didn't really get the guy in the wig.
1a) Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Good but acting could be more realistic.
2) Did you think the story worked well?
I think the idea is good, about the cleaner guy dreaming of a better life, but at some parts where it didn't make sense, it could have been made and shown more better.
2a) Did you understand the dream concept? (do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
At the beginning, I can understand that he was going into a dream, but it was a little unclear as to why he was imagining the geek and the man in the wig if he didn't like them, I didn't understand this part.
3) Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
I would give it a 7-8, mainly because in very minor parts, you could see the amateur skills, where the whole story could have been shown clearer to let us understand it better. But most of the shots are really good.
4) Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
The whole atmosphere works very well with the song, the choice of club is very fitting.
5) Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
I might, it's quite a catchy tune.
6) How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
I think its very relative and eye-catching.
6a) Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Yes it did very well and straightforward.
7) Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
Each part was very good, I liked this the best and it definitely reflects the video well.
8) What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
Maybe to show the idea of his dream a bit better, it got a bit confusing, so if the storyline was more clear, I think I would have been able to enjoy it a lot more.
9) Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
Nope, I've mentioned everything.

I know he wanted to be a DJ, but still the middle part was a little confusing, but was fun.

The song really does fit to the theme of the video.

1). Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
Yes. I like the idea as a whole. I think it worked well all together. I liked the last girl/boy I thought that I was funny and interesting. I also liked the play on stereotypes and the whole music video was constant on the humour so I think it make the story more interesting and less boring. I didn’t understand the first character because I couldn’t recognise what was humorous about her or how she added to the video in general.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Very funny and unique.
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yes. There was the element of surprise as I would have not put that song with your interpretation idea. I think it is very imaginative and surprisingly works better than expected. I could see a whole African dancers like they have in African music videos with them basically dancing to a drum beat. This wouldn’t have been as creative as your video. Your video breaks the norm and expectations one would have and therefore makes it funnier as a whole!
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
Yes I did... I think the ripple effect made it very clear. As well as the scene when he is dancing slow motion with the mop and the title sequences are appearing. I think that is cleverly done and establishes the video as being a dream. Also the end of it includes that joke. The personal touch to the humour really shows of the films idea as a whole.
I found it funny and based on the fact it made me laugh and I enjoyed it I would rate it a 9. We should have videos which make us laugh rather than seeing naked woman parade around.
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yes like I said before (ref Q2.) I really like the concept and think it is unusual especially for such an upbeat song. The video is very imaginative and definitely worth watching again.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
Yes the thing that attracts me to your video is the originality most music video’s have the same idea, same concept of showing flesh which supposedly gains attention and viewers. However, personally I would only buy those if I liked the song and I wouldn’t pay extra for the video. However, I really like the song you chose together with the video. I would buy it purely for the fact I enjoyed it and would want to watch it again.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
The combination of both is apparent and clear because it has the same characters pictures in position which they were in the video. I noticed the same elements and props therefore they do fit well together.
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Yes it did because the poster included where I can buy the video from and it made it easy with the ITunes and social networking sites. Modern and easy to find as it is on popular sites.
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
Overall, it does because like I said there is use of the same props and characters in the same locations. It is pretty much interlinked with the video. Even the colours represent the whole nightclub feeling. Definitely supports the video.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
I am not sure, this is a tricky question at the moment i would say nothing much. Maybe just add a few more close-ups.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
Nope. I just like it and would buy it.

1). Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
Since this is not the type of music I would listen to if I had the choice, I am going to answer objectively. I like the feel of the video the humour really shines through and surprising even myself that I actually really like it. You do not have to look so shocked! I really like the feeling of the vibrancy and the element of how everything gets worse and worse for him. I am sure a lot of people can relate to it. I do not like the shots of the women shown i think it portrays them as meat and how the guy is so interested in girls, but i suppose that is what makes its relatable to for the male watchers.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Surprisingly I like it I think it is enjoyable and funny to watch.
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Yes I did to some extent. I like the idea I think it is very creative and I wouldn’t have thought about it myself so thumbs up for that.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
Yes I think it works because of that dream like effect at the beginning. Sorry I do not know what to call it (ripple effect). Also the change of colour in my opinion when I watch it the black and white is like the truth and reality because it’s raw and old. The colour symbolises the vibrancy of a club and what he wants to be. It also shows how much happier he is in the lets say fake world rather than when he is reality. I think the fall at the end symbolises the fall of his dream, it tells you the future, this never happened. It’s a on-going metaphor.
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
7/8. Simply because of the woman. I think is objectifies us.
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Surprisingly it does. I like the idea and the fact he likes girls and the only lyrics are move it 2 the drum or something along those lines I think it works effectively. Overall, I think that they complement each other and give a whole new meaning to the song.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
Probably not. It is really good, but it is not my type of music and i don’t think i would listen to it over and over again.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
Like I said the colours and the images you used they are in the same context of the video and therefore i think they are easily relatable to each other.
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
Not really I think it could be more persuasive and make you want to go and purchase the video.
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
Yes it does because it keeps the same themes throughout for example the background and the text used. As well as the humour it is still carried out especially in the inside leaflet. It also continues the whole concept of reality and dreaming with the back and front of the digipak.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
I would make the advert a little more persuasive and give it a bit more flavour because before people go and buy or download the video with the digipak cover and leaflet inside it they are going to see the advert. So that is the main aspect that needs to be focused on in my opinion.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
No.

1). Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
I really like the park when the tranny comes in because I think it makes the worst possible scenario happen and the main guy who is dreaming doesn’t end up caring because he is so enticed in his whole dream. I also like the fact that it wasn’t blend there was detail which is specific to DJ equipment like when he said pioneers.
I didn’t like it because I think a few more shots were need to show his expression when he was dancing with the mop. However overall I think it is really good!
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Funny and I do want to watch it again.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
Well at first I didn’t until the colour changed and to me I thought something has happened so when I say the title sequence I knew it. I was not expecting it which made it that much more interesting.
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
8. I have enjoyed it. I like that it is funny and unlike a lot of other music videos. It is unique.
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yes it does the video, most definitely. The atmosphere is reflecting on the characters and the upbeat tempo is met by the crowd shots.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?).
Yes I would because I really like it.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
It relates to the music video because of the characters and colours on it. It is very effective and therefore I would have to say that the combination really works and stands out.
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
I like the simplicity of the poster and feel that it really really works altogether.
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
Yes I think that the print work supports the video because of the bright colours and the busy look is portrayed throughout. There is also a lot of context which is interlinked such as the characters and props therefore it really works.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
I am not sure about this, sorry.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?

1). Did you enjoy the music video – What was your most and least favourite part?
I really like the crowd effects and the lighting. It portrays a typical nightclub atmosphere which sets up the whole video and makes it more understandable when he starts talking about wanting to bad J. I also like the fact that he looks towards the decks while saying it and knows the technical brand of the decks. I didn’t like the fact that there were not enough shots on the main guy’s reaction from the realistic approach.
1a). Can you summarise your thoughts on it in one sentence?
Hilariously funny, it was exciting. I like that.
2). Did you think the story worked well?
Usual but yes, I think it really did work well.
2a). Did you understand the dream concept? (Do you think it worked – yes or no and why?)
Yes I did and I think this was portrayed well by the change of atmosphere and emotions. Also his confidence seemed to shoot up. I think that it played the relatable card because a lot of people are able to relate to that kind of situation having a dream which is so far-fetched from reality. I mean he is a cleaner in a club but has this dream of becoming a DJ and getting the girls. The video tells a story and I like that.
3). Rate the video from 1-10 and what is your reason?
8. There is a few things i think could be added and everything is never perfect even for music video’s like Lady Gaga’s or Rhianna’s something always need tweaking.
4). Does the video compliment the song choice in your opinion and explain?
Yes it does because the upbeat tempo is matched with the crowd effects and the dancing.
5). Would you buy or download this music video if it was sold? (What makes up your mind?)
Yes I would because for an independent project I think it is really good.
6). How well does the digipak fit/relate to the music video?
6a). Do you think the poster promoted the video positively?
I do not think it promoted it but it gave out all the right information and who could fault that?
7). Overall does the print work support the atmosphere of the video (do they complement each other and work well to sell the music video)?
Yes i think they relate very well as the atmosphere is colourful throughout which is portrayed in the print work.
8). What aspects would you change in this music video and would doing this in your opinion make it better?
I would make the actor speak a bit more clearly and louder during the talking sequence. As well as make him act a bit more fluid when dancing. Oh I would tell the other characters to act more fluidly too.
9). Do you have any other comments about the music video or the print work supporting it?
Nope. Apart from the fact I really like it especially because it not typically or similar to the mainstream artists. I like it and think that it would do well in an independent record label.
